Originally worn by french railroad workers back in the 1800s where the Chore Jacket, usually dyed in the charasteric blue color, could be seen along the tracks across nation. The loose fit made it easy to wear the jacket over a set of overalls and the big pockets could hold both tools and tobacco. The Chore jacket has since been used and abused as a daily uniform by farmers and all types of hard working laborers.
Traditionally made from a heavy cotton-drill or moleskin fabric, our version is cut from a 300 gsm cotton herringbone. Fits boxy and relaxed.
